BD+20 307: violent collisions in an old planetary system?

Planetary systems around close binary stars: the case of the very dusty, Sun-like, spectroscopic binary BD+20 307

The very dusty star BD+20 307, which was recently found to be a binary system may be several Gyr in age, which makes the large amount of dust, thought to be from a collision between planetary-size objects more mysterious.

A very close binary. Moreover putative planetary bodies would form a circumbinary system. Is it circumbinary planets season? Laughing
