James Webb Space Telescope Progress

Making a thread to monitor the progress of the JWST development, considering how amazing this thing will be for exoplanet science.
Target launch: June 2014 on an Ariane 5 rocket.

ISIM Structure being tested.

Latest estimate: USD 8.7 billion to fly JWST. Cost overrun is ridiculous.

JWST and MSL have a lot to answer for really. How many other worthy missions have been sacrificed to these budgetary black holes?
