I'm guessing the problem with that would be the distance to the system, around 500 parsecs, combined with the small scale of the planetary orbits (relative to the typical wide separations of directly-imaged planets).

Another paper concluding on dynamical grounds due to the evolution of the system during the mass-loss stage that the planets must be second-generation.

ALMA detects dust emission at NN Serpentis, likely from a circumbinary disc that is made up of leftover material from the common-envelope stage of the system's evolution.

Adds support to the hypothesis that the NN Serpentis planets (assuming they actually exist) could be second-generation.
