Upper bound on planetary mass?

Schlaufman "Evidence of an Upper Bound on the Masses of Planets and its Implications for Giant Planet Formation"
https://arxiv.org/abs/1801.06185

Suggests that the upper bound on planetary masses is in the 410 Jupiter masses region. Not sure what that would imply for Upsilon Andromedae, to take an example massive "planetary" system.
