WASP-67b vs HAT-P-38b - similar irradiation, different atmospheres

Post by Lazarus on 6th June 2017, 3:09 pm

HubbleSite article: Hubble's Tale of Two Exoplanets: Nature vs. Nurture

Comparison of the atmospheres of the planets WASP-67b and HAT-P-38b show very different levels of cloud cover despite the similar irradiation of the two planets. Though from what I can tell, WASP-67b is about 60% more massive and 70% larger than HAT-P-38b, so perhaps that factors in somewhat?
