Anhydrous carbonaceous asteroid around a white dwarf

Dufour et al. "Evidence for an Anhydrous Carbonaceous Extrasolar Minor Planet"

Suggests that the object that is being accreted onto the white dwarf Ton 345 is water poor and similar in composition to high-density Kuiper Belt objects.
