When New Horizons got to Pluto, I couldn't help but notice how the colors all reminded me of the "olden days" of space exploration, back in the 50's and 60's (long before I was born, of course Laughing ), so I decided to take one of the now famous pics, and go the extra mile in Gimp.

This is the result! Very Happy

Introducing Hera, a fictive Earth-sized moon orbiting Jupiter. She is in Io's leading Lagrangian point. You can see Io's shadow on Jupiter itself. Smile Hera is warmed by tidal heating, with greenhouse gasses allowing for additional heat for life to survive.

The two globular clusters just off Jupiter's limb are 2MASS-GC01 and 2MASS-GC02 respectively, with M 22 on the far left.

Now that NH went by Pluto, I updated my textures for Terraformed Pluto. They are based on the original artwork by "Master-Bit" on deviant-art. Smile

(Unfortunately he chose a "Freudian" name. affraid I originally found them when he posted them on the Space Engine forums, IIRC. Smile )

Nice art. A terraformed Pluto might be inferred with a "red giant Sun", mightn't it? Smile

For my world at Delta Trianguli, I finally managed to convert its textures to the format Space Engine likes, namely cubemap. Smile

So now I can enjoy it in most of her glory. Smile
