A Couple of Worldbuilding Questions

Post by Sunchaser on 16th March 2013, 8:35 am

What sort of surface would you infer from a body that has a radius of 5484 km, a mass of .14 EM, and a density of 1.268 g/cm3 (supposed to be cubed, but I don't know how to do the superscription)?

Also, how do I determine the colors of an atmosphere based on it's composition? While I'm sure most atmospheres would appear blue, what about one made of ammonia, or argon, or other gasses?

Thanks.

PS: While I appreciate the quick answer, I would also like to know where I can look so I can do the "footwork" myself...to me, it's part of the fun.

Thanks again.
