dM star planets and cosmic rays
On the protection of extrasolar Earth-like planets around K/M stars against galactic cosmic rays
Planets in the habitable zones of dM stars are not so well protected against cosmic rays because the magnetic moment is reduced thanks to tidal locking. Making the planet more massive does not do much to help the situation either, as the larger radius means the planetary atmosphere is located at a larger distance.

Re: dM star planets and cosmic rays
It just might mean that lifeforms are either sheltered more or will become more resistant to radiation than humans are.
